Today, Saturday, November 7, 2026, Colonel Soran Mohammed Ghareeb, spokesperson for the Garmian Police Directorate, said in a statement that around noon today, the body of a woman identified as (J. J. A.), born in (2009), was taken to the Martyr Hajar Emergency Hospital in the Shahidan neighborhood of Kalar district. She had died by hanging.
The Garmian police spokesperson said that, according to the family, the girl had died by suicide at her home. Police forces have meanwhile launched an investigation into the cause and circumstances of the incident.
