The Kremlin announced today, Thursday, that Ukraine’s continued attacks on Russian oil refineries are thwarting US President Donald Trump’s efforts to achieve peace.
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said in a statement: “Kyiv continues to carry out attacks on these facilities, and this means a serious disagreement with the efforts being made by the United States and American negotiators to begin the peace process.”
The Kremlin’s remarks come as Washington has proposed a ceasefire in the energy sector, but Moscow has not yet officially announced its agreement to the proposal; despite the Kremlin viewing Ukraine’s attacks as an obstacle to this initiative.
