On Monday, 2 November 2026, UK police said in a statement that 325 people had been arrested during a pro-Palestinian protest outside the US Embassy in London. The demonstration was held to protest the UK government’s decision to ban the activities of the group "Palestine Action."
London police said 320 of those arrested were detained on suspicion of expressing support for a banned organisation under terrorism legislation, while investigations involving other participants were continuing. The protest came as the UK High Court is due to hold a two-day hearing on Wednesday to consider a legal challenge against the government’s decision, which banned the group in July 2025.
According to police figures and protest rights campaign groups, thousands of people have been arrested for expressing support for the group since the decision was issued. Police also said London had witnessed several similar actions, while no arrests were recorded during a separate gathering in Edinburgh.
