In accordance with a decision and directives issued by Dr. Dilovan Mohammed Fattah Jalal, director general of the Erbil General Directorate of Health, all residents whose children are born in private hospitals, at Emirates Hospital, or through natural childbirth at home must visit one of the designated centers within 72 hours of the baby’s birth, according to the specified schedule, to receive the required vaccinations.

Mala Fandi Health Center
Nafee Akreyi Health Center
The Erbil Health Directorate’s move comes as newborn vaccinations were previously administered only at the Births and Deaths Registration Office. By geographically distributing services across these four centers, the measure will provide mothers and fathers with faster and more convenient access, enabling them to protect their children from communicable diseases within the specified timeframe.
