Today marks 11 years since the death of the renowned Iraqi politician. The late Ahmed Chalabi was a close friend of mine, a prominent national figure and an influential Iraqi statesman who played a historic role in the Iraqi opposition and in rebuilding the new Iraq.
Ahmed Chalabi’s death left a great void in Iraq’s political process, and his role in the country’s political history deserves recognition.
