Paiman Khawaja, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, said today, Saturday, November 7, 2026, that, as in previous years and at present, the ministry has delegated the authority to announce closures at educational institutions to provincial administrations and the supervisors of the independent administrations.
The ministry spokesperson explained that the move is intended to allow local authorities, when waves of heavy rain, flooding and deteriorating weather conditions occur, to make appropriate decisions on suspending classes as needed, based on the specific circumstances and conditions on the ground in their respective areas, in order to protect the safety of students and teachers.
