The Erbil Security Directorate announced that its forces arrested two suspects after they fired shots at apartments in “Eskan Tower” in Erbil’s Eskan neighborhood over a social dispute.
According to the Erbil Security statement, the incident took place on 28 of October 2026. The suspects, identified by the initials (S. F. M.) and (R. A. M.), caused a disturbance over a social dispute with a resident of the building and fired shots at the apartments.
Erbil Security indicated that immediately after the incident, and after obtaining judicial authorization, the two suspects were arrested in coordination with the Directorate of Border Security while attempting to flee toward outside Erbil city.
It was also revealed that the weapons and vehicle they used to commit the crime had been seized, and their investigative file was referred to the court; the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The Erbil Security Directorate thanked the citizens who played a role in providing information and cooperating with the security forces to arrest the suspects.
