The Erbil Provincial Police Directorate announced that, following the circulation on social media of a video showing an Iranian woman named (N. B. Q.) firing a weapon in an unusual manner from inside a vehicle in the city of Erbil, its forces managed to arrest the suspect within a short period.
In a statement, Erbil police indicated that following her arrest, the suspect confessed to her crime, and legal proceedings have now been initiated against her.
At the end of the statement, Erbil police issued a stern warning to citizens, saying: "Displaying weapons on social media in any form is prohibited, and anyone who violates this will face strict legal accountability."
They also called on citizens to refrain from such behavior, which threatens social security and constitutes a violation of the law.
