Iraqi Airways announced today, Thursday, the official resumption of its flights to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a statement, Iraqi Airways indicated that the flights will be operated daily and regularly from Najaf International Airport to the airports of Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan.
The decision to resume the flights came as a result of the prime minister's efforts and the follow-up by the minister of transport, after completing all the organizational and technical requirements, with full preparations made for flight operations.
The statement also said that the aim of resuming these flights is to facilitate passenger travel and expand Iraq's air connectivity network in the region, particularly for religious tourism, medical treatment and education.
It is worth noting that Iraqi Airways had suspended all its flights to the Islamic Republic of Iran since the beginning of last March.
