The Houthis threatened to continue attacks on Saudi airports and announced measures.
Yemen’s Houthis once again issued a strong warning to airlines, experts, employees and passengers regarding the use of airports and, more broadly, Saudi airspace, stressing that these areas have now become an operational theater and face the risk of attack.
According to Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, only the airports of Mecca and Medina are exempt from this warning and outside the target bank.
Saree called for these warnings to be taken seriously and warned that Saudi Arabia would be responsible for any response or reaction.
He stressed that their forces would continue, as part of consolidating the deterrence equation, under the slogan “airport for airport, siege for siege, and escalation for escalation,” until achieving their objectives.
The Houthis’ sharp stance comes as Saudi authorities announced that, during an attack from Yemen on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, 112 people were killed and 309 others were wounded.
