Today, Tuesday, 20 October 2026, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying: A massive, illicit oil tanker exploded after striking a naval mine in the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC statement stressed: "The owners of the vessels and their crews bear full responsibility for passing through unauthorized routes in the Strait of Hormuz."
