In an important step to serve the judicial and legal sector, Kurdish was officially added to the electronic application “Qanunji,” one of the broad legal platforms in the field of law and court affairs in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
This new development comes within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed in the year 2025 between the Judicial Council and the team of the “Qanunji” application, in which they agreed on several important themes and points to strengthen cooperation and coordination in the legal and court-affairs fields, foremost among them activating the Kurdish language in the system.
Adding Kurdish to this platform is a significant achievement and convenience for lawyers, judges, legal experts and legal employees in the Kurdistan Region, enabling them to quickly and easily stay informed, in their mother tongue, about the latest changes to laws, guidelines and court decisions.
