A short while ago, a number of residents of Kirkuk’s “Kurdistan Faylaq” district closed the main Kirkuk–Dubzian road in a strong protest against the rising rates charged by private electricity generators.
Kurdistan TV’s correspondent reported that the protesters blocked the road with stones and car tires and prevented vehicles from passing, causing significant traffic congestion in the area.
