Today, Wednesday, a mine exploded inside the al-Muhdatha school in Zarqan town, part of Hasakah province, killing one child and injuring 12 others.
According to official reports, the explosion killed a child named Ahmed Sinjar and injured 12 others, one of whom is a teacher at the school.
Emergency response teams transferred all the injured to health centers in Tal Tamr town and the city of Hasakah. Medical sources said most of the injuries were minor to moderate and that the injured were receiving the necessary treatment.
