On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that 17 militants were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations in the Kachi and Kharan areas of Balochistan province. A soldier was also killed.
The statement said the first operation was based on intelligence indicating the presence of militants affiliated with the two groups known as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. In that operation, 10 militants were killed in the Sani area of Kachi district after they attempted to set up a checkpoint on a public road. Seven other militants were killed during an assault on their hideout in the Kharan area.
The Pakistan Army said that a soldier named Hikmatullah, 25, from the Karak area, was killed in the clashes. It added that a large quantity of weapons and ammunition had been seized at both operation sites, while clearance operations to pursue other militants were continuing.
The statement concluded by saying that counterterrorism operations would continue under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee as part of the country’s National Action Plan.
