Statement by the President of the Kurdistan Region:
I welcome the reactivation of the Kurdistan Parliament. Parliament is the highest institution representing the will of all the people of Kurdistan. All political forces must participate actively in it and, in a spirit of national responsibility, resolve their disagreements and differences there.
I hope this step will help and encourage efforts to overcome the political deadlock and create a better environment for greater understanding and cooperation among all political sides.
I reiterate that dialogue, compromise and partnership among all political forces are the foundation for overcoming disagreements and confronting challenges. Political stability and the protection of the institutions of the Kurdistan Region are also a shared responsibility that falls on everyone.
