Statement by the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Kirkuk Provincial Council:
On the occasion of the reactivation of the Kurdistan Parliament and the election of its new presiding board,
we extend our warm congratulations to the people of Kurdistan and all its communities.
The reactivation of the Kurdistan Parliament after a sensitive period, along with the election of its new presiding board, is a historic and valuable step toward strengthening the foundations of democracy, safeguarding the rule of law and consolidating the values of coexistence in the Kurdistan Region.
The Kurdistan Parliament, as the highest legislative and oversight institution, has always been the people’s true home and a reflection of the national will of the public.
The reactivation of this national institution and the selection of its new presiding board represent a golden opportunity to reinforce national unity, draft modern and just legislation, and create a productive environment for forming a new government cabinet that meets citizens’ expectations and closely monitors its work to provide better services to the people.
On this occasion, we hope that the parliament’s new presiding board, guided by a national vision and a sense of historic responsibility, will draw closer to citizens’ concerns and demands and become a source of political stability, calm and comprehensive development in our region.
