Today, Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government said in a statement that this afternoon, (834,920,000,000) eight hundred and thirty-four billion, nine hundred and twenty million dinars was deposited into the ministry’s bank account at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq to fund the October salaries of employees and salary recipients in the Kurdistan Region.
The statement said that, as in several previous months, the Federal Ministry of Finance had deducted (120,000,000,000) one hundred and twenty billion dinars from the total salary funding as the federal treasury’s share of the Region’s non-oil revenues for October. It had also failed to send (4,476,540,000) four billion, four hundred and seventy-six million, five hundred and forty thousand dinars from this month’s salary funding, representing salary entitlements from previous months for civilian and military retirees.
The Ministry of Finance offered two explanations regarding the receipt and distribution of the funds:
First: Since the funds reached the ministry’s account at the end of official working hours, the completion of the procedures and receipt of the money from the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq will take place in the morning during official working hours.
Second: The salary list for all recipients will be published today, Wednesday. However, transferring the funds to salary recipients’ bank accounts requires a technical procedure at the Central Bank of Iraq through the (ACH) system, and implementing that procedure requires a full day. This means the process of transferring the funds to salary recipients’ accounts will be completed on Sunday, since Friday and Saturday are official holidays at the Central Bank of Iraq and the procedures cannot be carried out during the holiday.
