On the occasion of the reactivation of the Kurdistan Parliament two years after the Kurdistan Region elections, as well as the election of the Parliament’s leadership, we extend our warmest congratulations to all the people of Kurdistan.
The reactivation of Parliament is an important step toward preserving the Region’s constitutional entity and provides strong groundwork for forming an effective, service-oriented government that meets citizens’ demands and deepens harmony among all ethnic and religious communities.
Today’s session is a national achievement. We thank all the respected members of Parliament whose participation responded to the legitimate will of the people of Kurdistan.
This step will be a strong factor in achieving a higher level of coordination and cooperation between members of Iraq’s Council of Representatives and members of the Kurdistan Parliament, in order to safeguard our constitutional rights.
