Masrour Barzani: Reopening Parliament Is a Commitment to the Democratic Process

Message from the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government:

I warmly congratulate the elected speaker of the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliament, as well as the deputy speaker and secretary of parliament.

I also congratulate and commend the patriotic, dedicated, courageous and caring members of the Kurdistan Parliament for safeguarding its legitimacy and reopening the Kurdistan Parliament. 

Your decision today is a tribute to the blood of the martyrs and the will of the voters. This step represents the triumph of the will of the people of Kurdistan.

Reopening parliament is a commitment to and persistence in implementing the democratic process.

I hope that in the coming days, the remaining members of parliament will also participate in parliamentary meetings, fulfill their national, constitutional and moral duties, and live up to the responsibility and trust placed in them by their voters.
