On Wednesday, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, received Faleh al-Fayyad, chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
The meeting included an exchange of views on the latest developments and changes in the overall situation in Iraq and the region.
The talks also underscored the importance of resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government and ensuring the Kurdistan Region’s rights and financial entitlements fairly, as is the case with all other parts of Iraq, on the basis of respect for Iraq’s federal system and the Kurdistan Region’s constitutional status.
