According to the announced schedule for the Bright Project, the outage will be temporary, and electricity is expected to be fully restored to all affected neighborhoods after 5:00 p.m. today.
The Erbil neighborhoods where power will be cut are:
(Alban Change, Rizgari, Krekaron, Kurdistan, Bahar, Azadi, Majidawa, Rasti, Nishtiman, Newroz, Mardin, Zanayari, Taajil, Arabaan, Minara, Zhyan, Tayrawa, Mustawfi, Salahaddin, Anka wa Change, Ankawa, Shorsh, Kani, Writers, Koyistan, Khanaga, Sayyidawa, Setaqan, Komari, Roonaki, Mantkawa).
At the same time, several neighborhoods within the administrative boundaries of Soran and Shaqlawa districts will also temporarily be without electricity due to the same smart-meter installation process, until the technical work is completed at the scheduled time.
