Today, Saturday, November 7, 2026, Haider Abboudi, spokesperson for the Iraqi government, announced that Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi had ordered the Council of Ministers’ meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, to be devoted entirely to discussing the draft federal general budget law for 2027, in preparation for its approval and referral to the Council of Representatives.
The government spokesperson noted that the 2027 budget bill identifies the strategic projects “Development Road” and the “Generations Sovereign Fund” as the government’s top programs and strategic priorities in the budget.
