Today, Saturday, November 7, 2026, the US news website Axios reported that the United States has renewed its security warnings for its citizens in five Middle Eastern countries: Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain.
According to the report, the US move follows the receipt of an intelligence memo warning of an “advanced” Iranian plan to target US officials and diplomats outside the country. The warnings also urge US citizens in those countries to make full preparations for possible disruptions to air travel schedules, sudden closures of the region’s airspace and a further escalation of military tensions.
The report also said that the US State Department had urged citizens in the five countries to completely avoid public gatherings and exercise the highest level of vigilance, amid the possibility of a rapid spread of confrontations and clashes in the region.
