A federal government delegation comprising the deputy prime minister, the ministers of oil, finance and municipalities, and the president of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit discussed provisions concerning the Kurdistan Region with a special committee from the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s parliamentary bloc.
In a statement, Sipan Sherwani said: "At this meeting, we held detailed and extensive discussions on all provisions related to the Region and presented our views and proposals."
The member of the Council of Representatives reaffirmed that every effort would be made to ensure that the Kurdistan Region’s constitutional rights and entitlements were fully guaranteed in the draft 2027 budget law before the bill was submitted to Iraq’s prime minister.
