On Thursday, November 5, 2026, at a special ceremony in Paris, the capital of France, the global group Top Com awarded the international Grand Prix Consumer 2026 to the Zom project. This is the first time in the history of the international award that a company or project from Kurdistan has reached this stage and been recognized as a trusted brand at the global level.
The award is presented annually to influential organizations that have developed the most successful marketing campaigns and the strongest relationships with consumers. After a thorough assessment of the project’s operating methods and quality, the award’s judging panel, comprising 30 international experts, made its final decision in favor of the Kurdistan-based project.
What attracted the international panel’s attention was not only the quality of its natural products, such as yogurt, cheese and butter, but also Zom’s economic and social impact on rural communities.
The figures tell the story:
The project has directly provided livelihoods for more than 3,300 livestock-farming families by collecting their products on a daily basis.
More than 400 employees work in the collection, production and distribution processes.
The company’s strategic goal for the future is to fully meet demand in the markets of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
Officials from Top Com said in Paris that the hygiene standards and professionalism of the Zom project are at a level that opens international markets to its products—a development that could soon place products made by Kurdistan’s livestock farmers on the shelves of European supermarkets.
