Today, Friday, November 6, 2026, the Directorate of Communications and Media of Iraq’s National Security Service announced that, in a special operation based on advance intelligence and detailed field monitoring, the agency’s units had seized an unidentified drone in Kirkuk province carrying a warhead.
The statement said that, in coordination with a military engineering team affiliated with the Iraqi Army, the drone and its ammunition were destroyed at the site where they were found through a controlled explosion, neutralizing the threat.
