A senior source told the Iraqi News Agency that the Iraqi prime minister’s order covers the following companies and sectors:
Sky Plus: Cancellation of its contract to lease counters at Mosul International Airport because of the company’s alleged links to armed groups, with the work to be assigned to a global company.
Sama al-Matar: Cancellation of its contract to lease the airport’s indoor garage and vehicle parking area on the same grounds, with the facility to be handed over to an international company.
Al-Faisal al-Shamikh: Cancellation of its contract to lease the taxi office at Mosul International Airport because of alleged links to an armed party.
The prime minister’s decision is part of his ongoing efforts to remove the influence of armed forces and groups from sensitive institutions and the state’s strategic infrastructure, particularly in the aviation sector and at international airports, while entering into contracts with experienced global companies to manage such projects.
