Today, Monday, 5 of October 2026, Masrour Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, received Daniel Kriber, the German Ambassador to Iraq.
Both sides agreed on the importance of advancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Germany in various fields.
The President of the Regional Government reiterated the Kurdistan Region's thanks and appreciation for Germany's and the coalition forces' assistance and support.
The German Ambassador affirmed continued support for and coordination with the Kurdistan Region. He also pointed out that the Kurdistan Region would be part of any bilateral understanding to be signed in the future between Germany and Iraq.
