According to an official statement from the Soran Forestry and Environment Police, on 27/10/2026, the Sidakan Forestry and Environment Police station was notified of a logging incident in the village of "Panjar," in the Sidakan district. Station units immediately went to the scene with support from units of the Soran Forestry Police Directorate.
Following an investigation, police forces arrested a suspect and seized three pickup trucks and a tractor that had been fully loaded with timber cut from the area's forests.
The Forestry Police also said that, by order of the investigating judge, all the timber and transport equipment had been seized, and legal proceedings against the suspect were continuing.
