U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking at an election rally in Michigan, claimed that the Islamic Republic had killed at least 75 thousand protesters during 9 last month and sharply criticized “Abdul El-Sayed,” the Democratic candidate for the Senate. Trump described the Democratic candidate’s expression of regret over the death of the leader of the Islamic Republic, whom Trump called “the world’s greatest supporter of terrorism,” as a threat to national security, and stressed that someone with such views should neither have access to a Senate seat nor the country’s classified documents, and should even be subjected to stringent security checks and metal-detector screening before entering the Senate chamber.
