Rainfall is expected to resume in the Kurdistan Region in the coming days, while temperatures will also fall by several degrees.
Hawal Sadiq Galozi, a meteorologist, says that starting tomorrow, Monday, temperatures in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq will fall by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius due to the arrival of a polar cold air mass from eastern Europe.
He also says that the effects of this high-pressure system are expected to diminish over the next few days, to be replaced by unstable weather, while rainfall conditions will improve across all areas.
He added that atmospheric instability will return on Tuesday, and as a result of the arrival of tropical (equatorial) moisture in our region, its effects will become stronger on Wednesday and Thursday.
