To strengthen economic infrastructure and develop the industrial sector in Erbil province, 38 new industrial project was approved under the supervision of Omed Khoshnaw, governor of Erbil.
On Sunday, 25 October 2026, a meeting of the Committee for the Development and Support of Industrial Projects was held in the presence of Hemen Qadir, deputy governor, and committee members. The status of the projects, the types of services and products they provide, and the level of implementation of their tasks were discussed and assessed at the meeting.
The governor of Erbil praised the committee’s efforts and stressed the need to remove obstacles facing large and medium-sized industrial and investment projects in a manner consistent with laws and directives.
In this regard, and to expand industrial activities and support the economy of the Kurdistan Region, 38 diverse industrial project was unanimously approved. At the end of the meeting, several specific decisions were also approved to facilitate and advance the administrative procedures for these projects.
