Yemen’s Houthis once again announced that they had targeted and bombed the airport of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with a ballistic missile; this was the second time in the past few hours that the airport had been targeted by the Houthis.
Yahya Saree, the Houthi military spokesperson, announced in a post on Telegram: “Our armed forces were able this afternoon, Thursday, to target King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with a ballistic missile.”
He announced: “The missile successfully hit its target and caused major damage to the airport, and also halted aviation operations and air travel at the airport.”
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation had announced that both Abha and King Khalid airports had been targeted by Yemen’s Houthis, and had also indicated that in the attacks on both airports, 3 people had been killed and 36 other people had been injured.
