In sharp remarks about the violence and unrest in France, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance described immigration policies and the problem of integration in European society as the cause of this situation.
In a post on the X platform, accompanied by a video of a municipal building in the city of Limoges on fire, Vance wrote that Western liberals had brought the Third World to France and other countries under the pretext of multiculturalism and compassion.
The U.S. vice president also added that France and those countries ignored the fundamental questions concerning the integration of migrants into society and their compatibility with the values and cultures of those countries, and although we told you that things would reach this point, they did not listen.
In another part of his message, referring to France’s history and beauty, Vance wrote: I pray that France, which has a beautiful country and an extraordinary people, can draw a line under this madness before the fire engulfs more parts of the country.
These remarks come as France faces widespread demonstrations that began as protests against rising living costs and in some areas led to clashes, violence, looting, and damage to public and private property.
