With the aim of strengthening economic infrastructure and developing the industrial sector within Erbil Governorate, approval was granted, under the supervision of Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw, for 38 new industrial projects.
Today, Sunday, 25 of 2026, a meeting of the committee for developing and supporting industrial projects was held in the presence of Deputy Governor Hêmin Qadir and the committee members. At the meeting, the status of the projects, the type of services and products they provide, and the level of implementation of their obligations were discussed and assessed.
The Governor of Erbil, while expressing appreciation for the committee’s work, stressed the need to address obstacles facing major and medium-sized industrial and investment projects in a manner consistent with the laws and guidelines.
Within this framework, and to expand industrial activities and support the economy of the Kurdistan Region, approval was unanimously granted for 38 various industrial projects. At the end of the meeting, several decisions specifically aimed at facilitating and advancing the administrative procedures for those projects were approved.
