The deputy governor of Sulaymaniyah warned the owners of markets, shops and commercial premises that anyone who raises the prices of goods and commodities will face strict measures.
Shaho Osman, the deputy governor of Sulaymaniyah, announced today, Thursday: Regarding the situation that has now arisen due to the rise in the price of the dollar, we assure you all that you must deal with this situation responsibly until the situation returns to normal.
He also said: As can be seen, efforts to calm the situation are continuing, so we ask that we all work together in the interest of our citizens and get through this stage.
Shaho Osman stated: We monitor the condition of the market and the lives of citizens daily through several committees. Therefore, in the public interest of citizens, if any case of price-gouging or the limited delivery of necessities by food companies to markets is observed, we will be compelled to impose the strictest legal penalties on them and publish their names through the media as well.
