Halabja police announced that, by decision of the Security Committee, bringing any kind of weapon, ammunition or firework into 12the Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival is completely prohibited.
Today, Tuesday, 27of October 2026, the Halabja Governorate Police Directorate issued the following notice to citizens and visitors: On the occasion of the 12th Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival, and by decision of the Halabja Governorate Security Committee, bringing any kind of weapon, incendiary device, ammunition or any other prohibited material into the festival venue is prohibited, in order to protect the safety of participants and ensure that the festival is held peacefully and comfortably.
The notice stated that all citizens and participants are asked to fully comply with the security guidelines and refrain from carrying or bringing weapons or any illegal materials, in order to protect public safety.
