Today, Thursday, 22 October 2026, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, offered his condolences in a message to First Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Rashid Yarallah, Chief of Staff of Iraq, on the death of his sister.

Dear Chief of Staff, First Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Rashid Yarallah, Special Forces,
It was with great sadness and sorrow that we received the news of the death of your esteemed sister. We share your pain and that of your respected family during this difficult time, and extend our deepest condolences to you. We ask Almighty God to bless the deceased with His mercy and forgiveness, grant her a place in His spacious Paradise, and bestow patience and peace upon everyone.
Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed to Him we shall return.
