UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the recent attack by Yemen’s Houthi group on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
In a statement issued on Sunday, 11 October, Mr Guterres expressed deep shock at the incident and stated that the Houthis’ Saturday attack on the capital of Saudi Arabia had caused heavy casualties; according to assessments, the incident left 12 people dead and hundreds of civilians injured.
