Construction of the 150-bed hospital specializing in cancer diseases in Erbil is progressing rapidly, with 70% of the project completed so far and entering the final implementation phase.
This important strategic healthcare project, whose foundation stone was previously laid by Masrour Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, has been designed in a modern manner, enabling it to receive nearly 1,000 patients daily in its outpatient consultation department.
The hospital is being equipped with the most advanced medical devices and supplies and will include all necessary examinations and treatments, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a linear accelerator center (LINAC), as well as several modern operating theaters, inpatient wards and an advanced emergency department.
With the completion and operation of this hospital, the healthcare sector in the Kurdistan Region will see significant progress, substantially reducing the burden on cancer patients, while the need for patients to travel abroad to receive treatment will be greatly reduced.
