Dr. James Hasdo Hido and Rami Nouri Siyawash, representatives of the Christian component in the Kurdistan Parliament of Iraq, strongly condemned the “terrorist” attack on the Orthodox Church of “Mar George” (Saint George) in Jordan’s Karak Governorate.
In a message, the Christian representatives stated: “We received with great sadness and sorrow the news of the terrorist attack on Mar George Church, carried out by extremist terrorists, in which 7 people were martyred and 34 others were injured.”
In the message, the representatives expressed their full solidarity with the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, the people and leadership of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and reaffirmed their support for Christian citizens in Jordan.
At the end of the message, the Christian representatives in the Kurdistan Parliament also extended their condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
