The Kurdistan Region prime minister met with the Yazidi Mir. Masrour Barzani told the Yazidi Mir: “We are committed to supporting your rights and demands.”
On Monday evening, 26 October, Masrour Barzani, prime minister of the Kurdistan Region, met in the Sheikhan district with Mir Hazim Mir Tahsin Beg, the Yazidi Mir.
The meeting, attended by Sheikh Ali Elias Babasheikh of the Yazidis and a number of prominent religious and Yazidi figures, discussed and reviewed the situation of the Yazidis, and the prime minister reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s commitment to supporting the rights and demands of the Yazidis.
The Yazidi Mir also expressed his and the Yazidi community’s thanks and appreciation, and praised the prime minister’s continued support.
