The Akre District Police Directorate issued an urgent clarification to media outlets and the public regarding the murder of a citizen near “Akre Park,” calling for inaccurate and baseless information not to be disseminated.
In its statement, Akre Police called on all media channels and social media pages to deal with the incident responsibly. It also stressed that accurate information should be obtained only from Akre Police’s official statements, and, in the public interest and to prevent disruption to the security situation, urged them not to rush to publish unverified information about the location, time, number and data related to the crime and the suspects.
At the same time, the police assured citizens that Akre Police units, in coordination with the Asayish and other security agencies, are on full alert and have begun intensive follow-up efforts to arrest the main suspect, for whom an arrest warrant has currently been issued under Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code, and who will be apprehended as soon as possible.
