The Duhok Provincial Police Directorate announced the arrest of 3 suspects after they got into a fight late last night in the Khabat neighborhood of Duhok city, resulting in 2 people being wounded.
According to a statement by Duhok police, immediately after being notified that the fight had broken out, police units arrived at the scene and began intensive follow-up investigations. Meanwhile, the injured were sent to hospital for medical treatment, and medical examinations and reports revealed that several of the suspects had previously consumed alcohol and were intoxicated.
After a legal complaint was filed and an investigating judge issued an order under Article 413 of the Iraqi Penal Code, police forces were able to arrest each of the 3 suspects. The suspects are currently being detained by order of the judge, and the case remains under detailed legal investigation.
