In an official notice, the Roonaki Project asks electricity subscribers to comply with the specified deadline for paying their bills, while warning that any subscriber who fails to pay within the specified period will have their electricity disconnected.
According to the Roonaki Project’s statement, subscribers must pay their electricity bills within 50 days. That period begins from the date the bill is issued on the “e-bill” platform, not when the paper bill arrives. Citizens are therefore asked to check their bills monthly through that platform, where the latest bill is currently available for most subscribers.
The statement also says that subscribers who do not pay their bills within the 50-day period will have their electricity disconnected, and the reconnection process will begin only after the full bill amount has been cleared. Reconnection generally takes up to 24 hours, but if the payment was made through a collection agent, it may take longer.
The Roonaki Project also asks subscribers to register their units through the project’s official website so that they can be continuously informed about the issuance of and information in their bills.
