Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, congratulated all Yazidis in Kurdistan, Iraq and around the world on the Jama Festival, reaffirming that they will always support and defend their rights and that Kurdistan will remain a homeland of peaceful coexistence.
Text of the Kurdistan Region President’s message:
I congratulate all our Yazidi citizens in Kurdistan, Iraq and every part of the world on the Jama Festival. I hope you spend a peaceful and secure festival, and that all coming festivals and occasions return with goodness and joy.
Once again, we assure all our Yazidi citizens and all the components of Kurdistan that, as always, we will be supporters and defenders of their rights and demands, and that the Kurdistan Region will always remain, for all its components, a homeland and country of peaceful coexistence.
Happy Jama Festival to everyone, and may every year bring goodness and joy.
