Masrour Barzani opened the Sheikhān–Bā‘adrē dual carriageway and said, “It is a source of happiness when we see our Kurdistan becoming more developed day by day.”
This Monday evening, 26 in October, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, opened the Sheikhān–Bā‘adrē dual carriageway.
In a speech he delivered at the opening ceremony of the road, he said: “We are here today to open this dual carriageway between the centre of Sheikhān and the Bā‘adrē road leading to Duhok, which will serve all citizens. I hope everyone benefits from it.”
Masrour Barzani noted: “I thank the implementing company, North Light, which completed this project ahead of its scheduled time and placed it at the service of our people.”
He also expressed his hope that all the people of this area would observe the traffic guidelines and take into consideration their own safety and that of other citizens. “God willing, they will see good come from this project. I know that some other things have also been carried out alongside this project, and some roads to villages have been implemented. It is the government’s duty for us to be able to serve all the citizens of Kurdistan more, without discrimination. But it is a source of happiness when we see our Kurdistan becoming more developed day by day and projects such as this being implemented.”
At the end, Masrour Barzani said: “I thank all the engineers, workers and everyone who worked on the project,” and stated: “You have worked very hard; may you not be tired. God willing, God will reward everyone, and everyone will see good come from this project. I wish you all success. Our Kurdistan, too, will continue to become more developed day by day.”
