A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government, headed by Dr. Hêmin Miranî, Director General of the Ministry’s Diwan, visited the presidency of Salahaddin University.
During the visit, which was conducted to consolidate strategic cooperation, the Ministry of Interior delegation was received by Dr. Kamran Younis, President of Salahaddin University, and the university staff.
The main focus of the meeting was to draw on the university’s academic capabilities and experience to advance the Kurdistan police reform strategy. At the same time, it was decided to redesign the educational program of the Erbil and Sulaymaniyah police colleges in a modern manner and in accordance with international standards, with the aim of strengthening a culture of trust between the police and citizens.
It should be noted that the Kurdistan National Police reform process (2026–2030) is administered under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior and supported by the European Union Advisory Mission.
