Salahaddin University – Erbil has published the requirements, guidelines and self-registration mechanism for new students admitted to its colleges for the 2026-2027 academic year; it also announced that the process of visiting the colleges’ registration sections and completing the procedures will begin on Wednesday.
Dr. Saman Abdullah, director of media at Salahaddin University, said newly admitted students must first complete the electronic information form through the university’s official link using their email and ZankoLine code. Guidelines and an instructional video explaining the self-registration steps have also been made available to students through the special code (QR Code).
According to Salahaddin University’s guidelines, students must upload a clear image or scan of the following documents when filling out the form, in (JPG or JPEG) format, with a file size not exceeding 10 megabytes:
National identity card (front and back).
Information card (front and back).
A screenshot of the acceptance page (ZankoLine Acceptance) on ZankoLine.
A recent personal photograph with a white background, without using a filter or artificial-intelligence (AI) editing.
A photograph of the passport information page (if available).
The university stressed that each student has the right to fill out this form only “once,” and that the email, ZankoLine code and national identity card number are used for only one application and cannot be changed afterward. The student’s three-part name must also exactly match the national identity card in Kurdish and must be written in English in capital letters (CAPITAL), as it will be printed in the same manner on the university ID.
Another section of the guidelines warns that if a student registers but does not upload the documents and leaves the application unchanged for more than 60 days, the form will be closed and the student will no longer have the right to register again with the same information. After submitting the form online, the student must download and print it to bring it along when visiting the registration section of their college, for the purpose of opening the official student file.
